Carlo Cristi has lived and traveled in India and Southeast Asia since 1973 and has been active in Himalayan and Southeast Asian art since 1981. Carlo Cristi will exhibit at Brussels Oriental Art Fair ( BOA Fair) from 9 to 13 June 2010. Fine bronzes from Nepal, India, Gilgit will be on show along with a group of tangkas from central and west Tibet. Among illuminations, mostly from Kashmir/west Tibet is notable for his high quality, one from Dolpo area : The enlightment of Sakyamuni amidst Mara and his demons trying to obstacolate Buddha in his resolution. Silk roundels from Central Asia will be exhibited along with Liao period embroideries. Welcome collectors, curators and friends at Galerie Contardo, 25 Rue Ernest Allard, Sablon. |
